The artist draws us into her world of feigned idyll. She seduces us with magical and mysterious people and landscapes. The artist mixes colors and shapes into arrangements that appear figurative and abstract at the same time. There is something hidden behind the idyll.
"I can't stand the bad," says the artist. This ambivalence runs through her artistic work like a common thread. Her paintings are creative expressions of a contradiction we all know life offers such an incredible abundance of the beautiful, behind which there is always the ugly and the unbearable. She does not deny the unbearable, which is rather an important part of her pictorial work. The paintings are not ambushes and false trails.
